Carmen M. Cusack is a scholar of animal rights and women’s studies. She is an authority on these subjects and bears witness to the myriad of overlapping nexuses between women’s struggles and animals’ suffering. Her publications include Abortion is the “A” Word (2018) and Sex Case Law (2019). Throughout her work, she dissuades people from cruelty and degradation to women, as highlighted by her book Animals, Deviance, and Sex (2015). Recently, her research has explored human-animal relationships through observation.
