These volumes explore a number of significant and interdisciplinary questions relevant to the wider debate regarding the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) in a variety of research fields, including management, education, science, and the media. Bringing together research from European countries currently in a state of transition, all three volumes mark a significant contribution to the wider discussion on the role of ICT in today’s world.


Mirosława Wawrzak-Chodaczek is Professor at the Institute of Pedagogy of Wrocław University and a member of the Wrocław Scientific Society. A researcher and lecturer, she is the author of over 60 scientific publications, and has organised a number of conferences. Her research interests include social communication, mass media and education, public relations, and social security.

Jolanta Kowal, PhD, is Adjunct at the Institute of Psychology of University of Wrocław, and Associate Professor and Vice-Rector at the College of Management “Edukacja”. The President of the Polish Association of Analytical Psychology (PTPA) and the President Elect of the Polish Chapter of the Association for Information Systems, she is the author of more than 80 scientific reviewed publications. Her research focuses on the methodology of socio-economic sciences, marketing and management, job satisfaction, business ethics, and corporate social responsibility. She serves on the editorial boards of two scientific journals and has organised a number of conferences.

Krystyna Ostapiuk, PhD, is an Associate Professor at the Pedagogy Department of the College of Management “Edukacja”. She is a pedagogue, educationist, psychologist and a licensed coach of 2nd rank in the Polskie Towarzystwo Psychologiczne (Polish Psychology Association) in Warsaw, as well as a business coach. She has created numerous development and training programmes, her specialties being interpersonal training, work-life balance training, transactional analysis for business, and stress-dealing training, among others.

Henryk Żeligowski, PhD, graduated from the Faculty of Philology of the University of Wroclaw. He has worked as Assistant Professor at the College of Management “Edukacja” in Wrocław since 2009, and has served as Head of the Department of Journalism and Communication since 2011. He is the Editor-in- Chief of the quarterly journal Economy Market Education, and has organised and participated in numerous national and international conferences and seminars. A member of a number of editorial boards of scientific journals, Dr Żeligowski is also the author and co-author of several scientific publications.

Anna Kuzio, PhD, MA, received her PhD in English from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. An Assistant Professor in the Department of Humanities of the University of Zielona Góra and at the College of Management “Edukacja”, she has authored three monographs, in addition to a number of articles concerning communication, critical discourse analysis, pragmatics and argumentation. She is a member of the editorial boards of a number of international journals, and her research concentrates on intercultural communication, critical discourse analysis, pragmatics, rhetoric, persuasion, and manipulation.
