  • "The author’s excitement comes out throughout Introductory Fish Biology. The writing is unusually clear and accessible. As a result, Parsons made it effortless (and enjoyable) for me to read through a chapter or two with my morning coffee […] it made each chapter accessible and digestible, with the most important concepts, details, and well-known examples included.
    - Overall, Introductory Fish Biology is a terrific book that will be useful for undergraduate teaching and should sit ready on the shelves of junior and established fish biologists." Graham D. Raby
